Our process is transparent & ongoing, enabling you to be involved with the whole of the production cycle
We meet with you to discuss the requirements and objectives for us to understand the business proposition and ideas you have for the site.
After conducting online research including that of competitors we write an initial proposal where the cost of each component of the website such as design, template coding etc is clearly shown so that you know exactly what is involved and what you are paying for. This includes an overview of the design ideas, site architecture and functionality.
A more detailed specification in terms of the site structure and functionality is discussed and agreed upon with the client. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) plays an integral part of much of the process.
A creative brief is developed in consulation with the client. Design is started based on the site structure and content blocks from which we provide the home page and sample content pages for clients to review. Of course all exisiting branding guidelines are taken into account if required.
The designs are explained to and reviewed with the client and any changes required are subsequently implemented and submitted for final approval.
When the designs are approved we build the front-end CSS/HTML. This is again submitted for approval and confirmation as there is often a huge difference between seeing a flat design compared to an interactive web page.
The CMS is installed and set up and the CSS/HTML is integrated into it. Any additional coding of templates, sub-templates, module installation etc is carried out. All the initial content, images, videos etc are entered by us. During this process the site is available for you to see.
Training and documentation will be provided so that you can manage the system and upload content in the future. We are always on hand to provide support and advice should you need it.
Testing occurs throughout much of the production process to ensure that the site works on all common browsers and platforms. Clients are expected to undertake detailed testing during the final stages of the project and report any discrepancies to us which you may find.
When all the content is uploaded and the site is tested and functioning, the site is posted live on the web and a complimentary bottle of champagne is provided to you and all our team members who worked on the project.
We have been working with Applejack now for over ten years and throughout that time they have always shown themselves to be technically competent, willing to please and have always offered excellent customer service and advice.
